Back in the early 2000's I use to blog. I was a female, in a male dominated sport (Wrestling, Grappling, Mixed Martial Arts). I wrote and posted videos and pictures about my training journey just as a little memoir and for me to read back and see how far I had come in my training. However, it turned out to be much bigger than that for females who were in the same boat as me, and it developed an amazing community. Here I am 15+ later and I thought, WHY not start a new chapter of my journey. I think that these days, everyone get's caught up in the glam that can be social media. Where all of us can filter what we want the world to see, and some forget that it's exactly that A FILTER. Beyond the perfect family picture's, travelling experiences everyone has a story that can inspire another and not make them feel so ALONE in their feelings. People don't talk about this stuff, because somewhere down the line we have become a VERY sensitive world, where we can't simply have a conversation about something without being attacked or attacking instead of realizing that although we all have our values and beliefs we can still agree to disagree and move on without all the hate and violence.
I'm going to use this blog as a way for me to talk though my new training journey, emotional wellness, natural solutions I use to keep on track, my journey of navigating life with my first baby, being a mom in my late 30's and whatever other topics come up. I'd love to connect people and build a community, so someone out there in the world knows that they aren't the only one out there.
Remember....
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, Me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what your worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or ANYBODY! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're BETTER than that! - Rocky Balboa
